This [http:// www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kurser/OS_CFD_2015/IsabelleChoquet/thermophysicalModels-OF-2.3-or-2.4.x.pdf pdf] will give you a detailed introduction to the thermodynamics library in OpenFOAM. These models are inculded into most of the compressible solvers in OpenFOAM. It is important to understand the differences to the approach taken in incompressible models. You will learn about
- thermophysical models
- implementing your own thermophysical model
- implementing your own transport model
- understanding the physics
